We received a very good new year’s gift. Our paper titled “Species-specific maturation profiles of human, chimpanzee and bonobo neural cells” is accepted to be published at eLife! We compared neural progenitor cells of humans and our closest relatives, chimpanzee and bonobo in terms of migration characteristics and maturation potential. This was an enormous amount of work. I would like to thank Rusty and my co-first authors Carol and Branka for including me in this very fun project; Krishnan and Rijul for their computational wizardry; and all the coauthors for their contributions.
